Carsi (means Bazaar in Turkish like wal-mart stores) is the biggest fan group of Beþiktaþ JK. It took its name from the Besiktas Bazaar. The core of the group is from the Bazaar, working class and university students. The district of Besiktas has the highest amount of universities per km² in Turkey. Before every match, the Carsi Group meets at the Kazan Pub, and walks all the way from Besiktas, through the historic Dolmabahce Avenue, to the Inonu Stadium. The group is mostly made up of left-wing supporters. When the former prime minister of Turkey, Bulent Ecevit (Democratic Left), died, the group blackened its website for a day as a tribute of respect for the former prime minister. Carsi is also known for its sensitivity to reflect public opinions and preoccupations. This hotel suite cost $50 million to build, it took six years to complete, it rents for $30,000 a night and it is in the Four Seasons in New York on the 52nd floor with views in all directions, reports USATODAY.

"While a few casinos upgrade high rollers to posh suites with official rates about that level, never before has a hotel actually charged customers such a high daily sum — at least not in the US," the newspaper says.

"The suite is just the latest in an explosion of $15,000-a-night-and-up suites at top city hotels worldwide — an arms race of sorts that just in the past six months has seen the opening of a $22,000 complex in Tokyo and a $19,600 suite in Moscow (both at Ritz-Carltons)," the newspaper adds.

Amenities at the Four Seasons include bay windows with skylights in all four sides, as well as a library and spa. The walls are made of straw, hand-laid by an artist in Paris at a cost of $1 million.

The Automobile Club of Monaco (ACM) was set up in 1925 following to a Generally Assembly attended by 55 members of the SVAM, the Monegasque Bicycle and Automobile Sports Club, which was created in 1890 under the name Monegasque Bicycle Sports Club. The Commissioner General, Anthony Noghés was appointed to present the application of the Automobile Club of Monaco for joining the Association of Certified Automobile Clubs in Paris, currently known as FIA (Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile). The application was refused because none of the organized events took place on Monegasque territory. The young Monegasque driver Louis Chiron was absent as he participated in the500 Miles of Indianapolis.

“Williams” won the Grand Prix in a Bugatti 35 B car in 3h56’11’ with an average speed of 80.194 km/h. The race was a genuine triumph.

On April 19th, 1932, Captain Sir Malcom Campbell, the man who just had broken the world speed record with 408.621 km per hour, opened the 2nd Grand Prix of Monaco in a superb Torpedo Rolls Royce.

From 1938 to 1947, the Grand Prix did not take place because of economic reasons, a lack of participants and a period which was not appropriate. On May 16th, 1948, the competition started again, but the year after the race was cancelled due to the death of Prince Louis II.

Juan Manuel Fangio was the winner of the 11th edition on May 21st, 1950. Then, a race was organized in 1952, but after, various cancellations took place. Since May 1st, 1955, the Grand Prix of Monaco is one of the most expected moments in the Formula One Championship.

MACAU - With the crash of a champagne bottle against a gondola, Macau's Venetian casino opened Tuesday, dwarfing anything in Las Vegas and big enough, its operators say, to shift the magnetic north of the gambling world to this small city in southern China. ADVERTISEMENT
American billionaire Sheldon Adelson and his wife Miriam inaugurated the $2.4 billion Venetian Macao Resort Hotel on Cotai by smashing a bottle of champagne against a gondola, which will float down one of three indoor canals, compared with only one at the Venetian in Las Vegas.
Casinos like the Wynn and Adelson's Sands have led this small city in southern China past the Las Vegas Strip as the world's most lucrative gambling center.
Las Vegas Sands Corp. Chairman Adelson wants to take it a step further with the 10.5 million square foot Venetian.
Hundreds of visitor streamed under the golden dome just inside the entrance Tuesday, treading on thick champagne colored carpet and taking in the fresco paintings on the wall.
Adelson hopes the complex will transform Macau from a gambling pit stop for Chinese tourists to a vacation and business convention destination, where visitors shop, watch shows — and roll the dice.
"Today is the beginning of what has been a dream of mine for some time — to reproduce the capital of entertainment in Asia for Asians," Adelson said Tuesday at a news conference.
Macau's casinos are currently scattered across the territory, a peninsula connected to mainland China and two outlying islands by a reclaimed strip of land called Cotai.
Adelson said his Venetian Macao Resort Hotel on Cotai is the cornerstone of what will become a concentrated resort area he calls the Cotai Strip.
Las Vegas Sands claims the 10.5 million square foot Venetian — twice the size of the Las Vegas original — is the largest building in Asia and the second largest in the world. Boeing Co. claims it has the world's largest building — a plant in Washington state.
The Venetian boasts what it claims to be the world's largest gaming space of 550,000 square feet, housing 3,400 slot machines — with room to expand to 6,000 — and more than 800 gambling tables.
It has 3,000 rooms, a 15,000-seat sports arena, retail space for 350 stores, 1.2 million square feet of convention space, fine dining and a Cirque du Soleil-produced show.
Its decor is Venice inspired — with a Chinese touch. Chinese-style sampans as well as gondolas will sail down canals. The resort also features a replica of Venice's St. Mark's Square.
Adelson also plans to open more hotels under brands such as Four Seasons, Sheraton and St. Regis. In all, his Las Vegas Sands Corp., which also runs the Sands Macao on the Macau peninsula, plans to invest up to $12 billion and build 20,000 hotel rooms on the Cotai Strip by 2010.
